The Gold Coast region of South East
Queensland has a fabulous and truly comfortable sub-tropical
climate, ideal for outdoor enjoyment all-year round
specially in the cooler months of Winter. The Gold
Coast averages 245 days of fine and sunny weather
each year. As with nearby Brisbane, even in winter
the surf and beaches remain popular with temperatures
averaging around 20°C, while summer never quite
gets too hot to prevent outdoor activities.
Summer
temperatures range from 19 to 29° C (66 to 83°
F).
Winter temperatures
range from an average of 9 to 21° C (48 to 69°
F ) - it's no wonder the Gold Coast is Australia's
favourite playground.

When
visiting the Gold Coast, remember easy resort wear
and lightweight clothing is suitable attire for the
Gold Coast's sub-tropical climate. You may need a
jacket or pullover in the evening. If you're planning
on doing any bushwalking through the National Parks,
then a sturdy pair of comfortable hiking shoes are
a must and if you're going to be spending a bit of
time on the beach, then sun protective clothing, a
broad brimmed hat, sunglasses and sunscreen will save
you from getting too much sun.
