As one of the pioneers of Whale Watching on the East Coast of Australia, our Gold Coast location allows Spirit to enjoy the longest Whale Watching Season in Australia from late May through to start of November each year. As these amazing creatures migrate north to warmer waters, to give birth or mate, and return south with their newborn calves, they enchant passengers with an experience of a lifetime.

With only minutes from your doorstep Spirit will have you up close and personal with these majestic mammals as they perform some of the most amazing acrobatic displays that only Mother Nature can choreograph.
This Awesome journey is a captivating experience before your very eyes as these 40 ton humpback whales breach, wave their pectoral fins and slap their tails.
Each trip aboard our 24 meter Power Catamaran is a unique experience with the sightings varying from day to day. We are privileged to see these magnificent mammals in their natural environment and we must do our bit to protect these beautiful creatures.
Spirit is the only boat in Australia to have sighted the Majestic White Whale
'Migaloo' ('White Fella' in the Aboriginal language) three years running 2003, 2004 & 2005.
Our Vessel
Our Vessel is a 24metre Catamaran built to International Marine Standards (Bureau Veritas) designed for maximum stability and comfort, surveyed for 170 passengers + five crew in open waters and 200 passengers in calm waters.
Our vessel has Excellent 360º viewing from upper and lower decks, air-conditioned saloon, fully licensed bar and souvenir shop, this boat is designed for your comfort.

During the Whale Watching Season Spirit of Gold Coast departs daily at 9:00am from Sea World Resort Private Jetty, on Sea World Drive Main Beach Gold Coast QLD.
