Fruits in season can be picked at Eaglehawk neck. Ringing 0427503246 is highly recommended.The Tasman Peninsula and the Port Arthur area requires a minimum of 3 days or more to be appreciated.By the way, when you see the weather forecast on TV, you see clouds very often over Hobart and the word showers used every second day … don’t believe a word of it. It’s very dry here. Our French lavender is dying …. The Port Arthur Historic Site (including the boat trip, the Isle of the dead, Point Puer and evening ghost tour) will occupy at least a 2 days( we recommend you book the latest ghost available tour ) . Check out their new passes and special offers …Great value. Phone 1800 659 101.The Tasman Devil Conservation Park in Taranna (www.tasmaniandevilpark.com) – half a day minimum. See the Devils being fed at 10 am ….The Blowhole Area, Devil’s Kitchen, Patterson’s Arch, Tasman Arch, Tessellated Pavement, Dog Line , Remarkable Cave, Palmers Lookout etc - minimum a day. A Piece of Fresh fish and chips at Bev and Phil food van at the Blowhole is a must…and ice cream and fresh berries are delicious …….( in Summer and Spring only).Historic Coal Mines at Saltwater River –half a day. Beautiful beach for a picnic 10 minutes after. Free to visit.From September to Easter a boat trip to see Whales, Seals and Dolphins, or to a deep sea fish would take ¾ of a day. Visit and sample Chocolates at the Federation Chocolate factory in Taranna.And you still have not been for a stroll on one of the superb beaches or one of our numerous walks in the National Park. Fortescue Bay and Crescent bay recommended Cape Raoul also is a beautiful easy walk.
